Job Description:

This role will sit within the IM&T Service and Governance team, providing help and support across the Naval Ships IM&T team.

The main purpose of this role will be monitoring and ensuring that tasks (requests, incidents, problem tickets, audit actions etc.) are completed or in progress. This role will have a wide range of duties and on occasion take on extra responsibilities to support ad-hoc challenges.

The role will also help as a point of contact for the team to triage additional support requirements.

Core duties:

  • Support and engage across a range of IM&T activities, including stakeholder management, business analysis, problem solving, service management, project delivery, and financial controls
  • Monitor Incident Management performance across the team, applying known fixes using existing knowledge documentation and escalating issues where incidents are not being effectively managed
  • Assist the Configuration Management team by raising, tracking, and managing incidents related to vulnerability management, coordinating with third‑party suppliers to ensure timely progress and resolution
  • Provide on‑site and remote support during financial, governance, and assurance audits, including evidence gathering, validation, and compliance support activities

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite and Windows 11
  • Experience working in a customer service-based environment and comfortable liaising with stakeholders at various levels
  • ITIL knowledge or willing to undergo ITIL training
  • Understanding of IT terminology, processes and approaches in a range of situations

The IM&T Service and Governance Team:

As a Junior Digital Analyst, you will be part of a collaborative team providing digital and IT support to users across Naval Ships sites in the UK, Canada, and Australia. The role will see you actively involved in a major digital transformation programme, supporting the IT enablement of Operations users across the Scotstoun and Govan sites. You will work within a small experienced team, also working closely with other teams and suppliers.
