Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: From £56,000 depending on skills & experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Formally defining the scope and high-level requirements for project deliverables in both Waterfall and Agile environments
  • Working across multiple stakeholders defining requirements for Large to complex project change and utilising methods, tools, techniques; selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches
  • Investigating operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes: and ensuring requirements are in line with the strategic roadmap, driving a joint business objective across functional areas
  • Specifying requirements for environment, data, resources and tools, reviewing and testing results and modifying tests as necessary
  • Dealing with issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information
  • Be responsible for the Line Management of Business Analysts who will be assigned to the same Programme of work across multiple Product Groups

Your skills and experiences:

  • Hold a BCS Diploma in Business Analysis and equivalent experience
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams or varying complexity at the same time
  • Good business acumen, stakeholder management experience with Senior Management
  • Have line Management and team development experience

The Product Fulfilment team team:

The Product Fulfilment team is one of four Product Groups within the IM&T function. Product Fulfilment is responsible for providing the IT capabilities that are required by the core delivery functions of the business (such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project Delivery), and those which support it (such as HR and Finance). In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business, with the exposure to multiple business areas. This role is part of a larger strategic focus of the function working collaboratively across different functions to improve the way BAE Systems delivers Submarines. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
