Job Description:
Quality Management SME providing leadership within the Integrated Delivery Team, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001). Coordinates IDT wide quality initiatives, supports issue resolution, and leads internal and external audits, including export customer audits within scope.
Core duties:
- Provide Quality SME input across Engineering, PM, Product Assurance and Operations, representing Quality in IDT forums
- Deliver Quality SME support to Supply Chain activities, including SQA reviews, investigations, PO reviews and initiatives
- Coordinate cross‑functional quality initiatives, including continuous improvement activities and Engineering/PM process development
- Provide quality assurance oversight for product and process trials within the IDT environment
- Support resolution of IDT quality issues using non‑conformance methods, ensuring robust corrective and preventive actions
Essential Skills:
- Degree qualification in a relevant discipline, or time‑served engineer with substantial experience and supporting qualifications
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification with practical experience applying audit principles effectively across complex organisations
- Demonstrable experience using statistical control methods, implementing systems such as Six Sigma effectively to projects
- Knowledge of production environments operating within high‑hazard, safety‑critical and regulated industrial settings manufacturing aerospace facilities
- Ability to liaise effectively with regulatory and government bodies, ensuring compliance and clear communication outcomes
Light Munitions & Medium Calibre Team:
Quality Manager at Glascoed required for two years to support production within the Light Munitions & Medium Calibre Team.
