Location: Scotstoun – hybrid pattern of 3 days weekly onsite

Salary: Circa £81’000 dependent on skills and experiences + executive package

Job Description:

In this influential leadership role, you’ll shape and deliver the Supply Chain Functional Excellence strategy, ensuring the people, processes, systems and governance frameworks are in place to achieve exceptional business outcomes. You’ll lead Supply Chain transformation, strengthen organisational capability and enhance global supplier readiness, working collaboratively across the business to embed best practice, drive continuous improvement and deliver strategic business objectives.

Core duties:

  • Providing strategic leadership across the Supply Chain function, translating business objectives into clear operational outcomes
  • Leading Supply Chain people capability and workforce planning activities, driving talent development and ensuring the function has the skills, capacity and tools required to meet current and future business needs
  • Establishing and maintaining robust governance, risk, assurance and cyber security frameworks, KPIs and business reporting, financial controls and budget accountability, ensuring alignment with Integrated Business Planning (IBP), compliance and operational integrity
  • Partnering with Naval Ships and Sector teams to strengthen the Supply Chain in areas of supplier development, supplier readiness for multi-national programme delivery, strategic cost management methodologies and ESG integration
  • Driving Supply Chain transformation and the deployment of Group and Sector initiatives, including digital and process improvement programmes such as Global Source to Pay
  • Leading the engagement with Shared Services, representing business demand and ensuring clear visibility and understanding of performance delivery

Essential Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience within Supply Chain, Procurement or a related function, delivering strategic and operational outcomes in a complex business environment
  • Significant experience leading large-scale transformation, change and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrable experience driving supplier performance, cost optimisation and value creation
  • Strong knowledge of governance, risk, assurance and compliance frameworks, with experience driving performance through data, reporting and KPIs
  • Experience developing organisational capability through workforce planning, talent development and building high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build effective partnerships across functions, business units and external organisations, driving collaboration and business outcomes
