Job Title: Graduate Submarines Systems Engineer
Location: Broad Oak (Hampshire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description
As a Graduate Systems Engineer, you will help design complex products by understanding what the customer wants and needs, and how to find the best solution to any problem. You will spend time communicating with people involved in complex projects, alongside balancing the needs of different stakeholders. You will need to think and work in a logical way whilst balancing competing priorities and perspectives to achieve effective, practical outcomes.
Core Duties
- Support the capture, definition, analysis, and management of system requirements across the lifecycle.
- Support system design, analysis, optimisation, integration, and testing activities.
- Develop virtual models of systems and subsystems to enable modelling and simulation activities.
- Use appropriate tools and software (for example Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, Simulink, JIRA) to support activities at different stages of the system lifecycle.
- Support system validation and verification activities, ensuring the right system is built and built in the right way.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification requirements
You must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree or a pass at master’s level in the following subjects: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Maths or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) degree.
Start date: 12th April 2027 Length of contract: Permanent contract
