Job Title: Graduate Digital Intelligence Systems Engineer

Location: Christchurch or Yeovil Hybrid – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description

Systems Engineers design really complex products, by breaking down the problem into smaller parts, which are easier to understand. By understanding the problem early in the project, what the customer wants and needs, they can help to find the best solution and make good engineering decisions.
Systems engineers spend time communicating with people involved in complex projects. They also need to be able to balance the needs of different stakeholders to find the best solution to a problem. They need to think and work in a logical way and be good problem solvers.

Core Duties

• Supporting the capture, definition, analysis and management of requirements
• Supporting system design, analysis, testing, optimisation and integration activities
• Building virtual models of systems and subsystems
• Using tools and software (e.g. Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, Simulink, JIRA) to support activities at different stages of a system’s life cycle
• Supporting modelling and simulation activities
• Supporting system validation and verification activities (Did we build the right system, and did we build it in the right way?)

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

You must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree or a pass at master’s level in the following subjects: Engineering/STEM.
