Job title: Graduate Shared Services Cyber Security
Location: Preston (Lancashire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 1-2 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description
This role supports the identification, assessment, and documentation of cyber security risks across sector and technology environments, while helping to maintain the EIT cyber risk register and track associated mitigation plans. It involves analysing emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities to assess their potential business impact, as well as supporting the automation and continuous improvement of the cyber risk service. The position also contributes to the development of Key Risk Indicators and other cyber risk metrics, working closely with stakeholders to understand business risks and security requirements. In addition, the role is responsible for monitoring compliance with agreed cyber security policies and supporting the assessment and management of cyber risks across the organisation.
Core duties
• Demonstrates cyber security methodologies and problem-solving techniques in an organised and logical manner
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaborate effectively across a multitude of cyber functions
• Understanding of basic cyber security concepts such as vulnerabilities, threats, controls and risks
• A good understanding of cyber security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Information Technology (IT), Cyber Security or Computer Science degree.
