Job title: Graduate Air Business Analyst

Location: Warton / Samlesbury (Lancashire) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description

This role supports the full Product Management lifecycle, contributing to a wide range of activities including stakeholder management, business analysis, problem-solving, architecture, project delivery, and financial controls. Working in line with IT processes, quality standards, and business requirements, the role involves managing complex activities and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. The individual builds strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners, influencing outcomes at account level while applying expertise within their specialist area. They make decisions that contribute to the successful delivery of projects and achievement of team objectives, collaborating closely with colleagues, users, and customers to drive business value and continuous improvement.

Core duties

• Supports aspects the design and delivery of technology solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, secure and sustainable architectures aligned to enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
• Provides advice across the solution lifecycle, ensuring quality, compliance and effective governance.
• Works on cross-functional initiatives, engaging with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Supports presentation of architectural options, influences key decisions and collaborates with suppliers, partners and delivery teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Supports decision making that shape solution direction, project success and long-term technology capability. Works closely with architects, engineers, project teams and customers to support risk management, resolve issues and deliver business value.

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Any STEM or IT/Business related degree subject.

Start date: 6th September 2027 Length of contract: Permanent contract
