Job Title: Finance Associate – Tax & Compliance

Location: Glascoed, Wales. Preston, Lancashire or Frimley, Surrey will also be considered with a requirement to travel to Glascoed approximately once or twice a month. Salary: Circa £48000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and maintain operational tax processes within the Finance Shared Services team
  • Support VAT, CIS, and Corporation Tax activities as a subject matter expert
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and control
  • Maintain accurate process maps and documentation, ensuring regular reviews and updates
  • Leverage automation tools, including RPA, to streamline tax-related processes
  • Monitor regulatory and system changes to keep processes current and compliant
  • Test and validate system upgrades impacting tax functionality
  • Provide training and guidance on tax processes and system developments to team members

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in tax operations, with solid knowledge of VAT, CIS, and Corporation Tax
  • Experienced in process improvement, documentation, and enhancing operational efficiency
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator, confident in delivering training and support
  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred

The Finance Team:

Join a dynamic and collaborative Finance Shared Services team where innovation and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, process-focused Tax Operations Process Subject Matter Expert to play a pivotal role in shaping the way we manage tax-related activities. You will be central to enhancing accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across key areas including VAT, CIS, and Corporation Tax. Working across multiple enterprise resource planning systems, you will lead efforts to standardise processes, ensure documentation remains up to date, and provide training and guidance to team members. With a focus on improvement, you will also explore ways to use technology—such as robotic process automation—to optimise performance and support the ongoing development of our tax operations.
