Job title: Estimating Support Officer

Location: Glascoed, South Wales; We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £26,705

What you’ll be doing:

• Creating and compilating the cost estimates for bids and projects in line with business and estimating processes
• Understanding, interpreting, and extracting information from multiple sources within the business function
• Developing and maintaining relationships, liaising and interacting with key project related stakeholders
• Producing and maintaining a suitable, properly documented Basis of Estimate for all estimates, including dependencies, assumptions, risk, exclusions, and opportunities
• Ensuring delivery of estimates is in accordance with the requirements of the End to End estimating processes, and the appropriate estimating policies and processes
• Providing data and information, as required, for internal reviews, meeting and in support of cost investigation and negotiations

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Some experience in the area of contracts, negotiation, and estimating
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient IT (MS Office) and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Desirable:

• ACostE Accreditation achieve or working towards

Plus, you’ll get the chance to work on high-profile strategic contracts for Land UK, such as NGMS.
