We have an excellent opportunity for an Electronic Engineering Team Lead to join our team within the Integrated Defence & Autonomous Systems Business Unit working in the Technical and Engineering Services team providing Defence Sustainment Solutions for the Land, Sea and Air domains.

Role Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for an Electronic Engineering Team Lead to join our team within the Integrated Defence & Autonomous Systems Business Unit working in the Technical and Engineering Services team providing Defence Sustainment Solutions for the Land, Sea and Air domains.

Reporting to the TES Project Engineering Manager you will lead and support a small electronics engineering team in realisation of required engineering solutions while optimising cost and schedule for the allocated work.

Core Duties:

• Provide engineering support to the TES and Service Centre teams as directed by the TES Project Engineering Manager
• Provide engineering leadership and direction to project teams during design and development activities and in support of the range of sustainment activities undertaken within the TES Business Unit
• Design, source and implement product specific tooling, equipment and processes used to manufacture, maintain, repair and test company deliverables
• Produce &/or review various artefacts to facilitate the manufacture, support and testing of products in the TES portfolio
• Provide technical input and support as a part of non-compliance, obsolescence, and test failure investigations
• Lead and/or support as required investigation and resolution of Safety, Product Safety or Environmental Safety issues in relation to products and processes as directed
• Lead and/or support bid development and development of associated cost estimates
• Champion and support the development of your team in order to help maintain a community of Electronic Engineering SMEs to support both current and future TES projects

• Handle personnel actions including performance reviews, salary recommendations, and co-ordination of training and development
• Initiate, design, develop, document, and monitor processes and process improvements to drive the continuous improvement of TES and Service Centre capability
• Provide Design for Manufacture, Assembly and Test, and Design for Maintainability guidance to supported projects

About You:

• Experience in developing electronic equipment designs, participation in design reviews, undertaking typical design analyses and implementation of electronics solutions, its integration, validation and qualification testing
• Experience in the following technologies, design analysis techniques, and development tools: Power supplies, analogue design, digital design, electronic CAD tools, simulation and modelling tools, EMIC solutions and compliance, electrical and mechanical manufacturability, and reliability and maintainability
• A degree in electronic engineering or related field
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation
• A good understanding of ESD control and working within structured Quality systems
• Good computer literacy
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
• Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
