Role Description:

The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for the overall technical objectives of the project, co-ordinate all activities associated with Design Assurance, Systems Engineering and Verification & Validation including tailoring of process as applicable to projects for assigned projects and ensure adequate technical review of all deliverables produced within the Engineering Teams prior to delivery.

Your experience working in a project environment will hold you in good stead for success. You will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally, providing leadership to a team of engineers spread nationally and ensuring all activities are progressing to schedule.

Core Duties:

• Be accountable for the overall systems engineering, design assurance and V&V efforts within the assigned project scope
• Ensure that the engineering outputs (i.e. products and services) are fit for purpose, meet requirements and delivered are in accordance with the Company product safety policy
• Identify and contribute process improvements and recommendations
• Provide engineering oversight, support to capability team members
• Provide engineering support to the PM around planning, scheduling and decision making
• Manage and report on applicable project technical metrics to the PM and relevant stakeholders

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, CPEng ideal or eligibility to obtain
• Demonstrated experience working within a project environment, ideally within systems engineering and design assurance
• Strong communication skills to work closely with various key stakeholders both internal and external
• Experience to perform a leadership role within a diverse project team
• The ability to be proactive to seek information and be self-motivated to manage your own workload efficiently
• Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and changing schedules whilst ensuring stakeholders are informed and updated regularly
• Open to frequent intra-state travel for customer and / or team meetings
