Job title: Design Engineer – Electrical

Location: Scotstoun, Portsmouth – Broad Oak, Bristol, Filton, New Malden can be considered. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role

Salary: Up to £51 000 depending on skills and qualifications

What you’ll be doing:

• Working on the development of electrical systems ranging from lighting to small power, to distribution.
• Electrical calculations, validation / verification
• Generating Electrical Schematics
• Reviewing electrical documentation / specifications / requirements
• Assessing electrical changes, conducting impact assessments
• Engaging with our international partners and customer

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Degree Qualified within the Electrical Engineering Discipline
• Chartered / Incorporated with the IET or working towards
• Strong understanding of Electrical Design

Desirable:

• Experience with electrical software / modelling packages
• Experience within the Marine / Defence Sector

The BAE CSC Electrical Design Team:

The BAE CSC Electrical Design Team is responsible for the overall Electrical Platform Design and Electrical Integration for our Canadian customer. Our team engages directly with our suppliers, internal and external customers to ensure that the electrical requirements are achieved and that our end user receives a robust, reliable and capable electrical platform. The role is primarily UK based however there may be opportunities to travel to Canada in the future as the program develops.
