Job title: Senior Commissioning Engineer – Electrical (Propulsion)

What you’ll be doing:
- To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environment
- Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders i.e Engineering, Royal Navy, MOD and Build Operations to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner
- Instruct & mentor less experiences members of the team within your knowledge & competency
- Responsible for researching authoring and reviewing of design and test documentation
- Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation
- To represent the Company on Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractors sea trials and other outworking requirements with scope for overseas travel
- Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with Company policy, procedures and legislation
Your skills and experiences:
- Knowledge of AC and DC Electrical Generation and Power distribution systems
- Understanding of the role and how T&C contributes to the wider business and UK enterprise
- Knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high risk environment
- Aware of Nuclear Site/Authorisation Conditions
- Experience working with Distribution Systems, Fire Protection Systems and Electrical Testing
- Knowledge of Instrumentation Systems including; Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, PLCs & Fibre Optics

The Electrical Commissioning Team:
You will be part of the team responsible for commissioning the first of class electrical power and distribution plant, on the first of class, next generation of Dreadnought submarines. The scope of the Dreadnought Programme is the delivery of four SSBNs to the Royal Navy to maintain Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD). We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
