Job Title: Cost Controller

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting the Deputy Head of Cost in developing and maintaining governance frameworks, BMS Procedures, Desk Instructions, and self-audit plans. Perform SQEP assessments and create training and development plans
  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of cost data, especially for the Full Programme Costing and Annual Budgeting Cycle processes
  • Helping to drive identified opportunities to completion and ensure CMG assurance aligns with in-year Efficiencies KPI targets
  • Overseeing Full Programme Costing submissions for the Dreadnought Programme budget areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Managing the cash claims approval process, enabling timely review, approval, and payment of Industry Party claims
  • Assisting the Deputy Head of Cost in ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements and correct accounting treatments)

Your skills and experiences:

  • You will need to have relevant experience within Finance, Project accounting, Project controls, or Cost Estimating
  • You will need to have significant experience in managing the interface between projects and finance whilst ensuring clear visibility from project activity to financial outputs
  • Significant experience working with stakeholders across multiple functions and grade structures whilst being able to facilitate and influence decision-making at these levels
