JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Cartography Map Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining maps using geospatial tools and technologies. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all maps are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the latest geospatial information.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Creates and maintains maps using geospatial tools and technologies.

· Ensures that all maps are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the latest geospatial information.

· Collaborates with other geospatial specialists to integrate geospatial data into maps.

· Applies analytical and creative skills to develop optimal map layouts and designs.

· Prints and plots maps using various printing techniques.

· Monitors map production processes to ensure quality and timeliness.

· Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of mapping platforms and tools.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

· Bachelor’s degree in Geography or equivalent.

· Certificate in Cartography.

· Experience in a cartography map technician position.

· Skills in ArcGlS Pro, MicroStation, Adobe Illustrator.
