Role Description:

As the Capability Pathways Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development of Engineering Capability within the AUKUS program at BAE Systems Australia. Working closely with stakeholders from within the function and across the organisation, you will assist with documenting pathways for career development, undertaking talent management, and applying people development activities.

This position is offered at 0.6 FTE (part-time). Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available.

Core Duties:

  • Support Engineering, Manufacturing and Trades inclusion initiatives, including STEM and trades outreach, inclusive hiring, and development programs, within the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Engineering, Operations and Manufacturing Engineering Capability Pathway outputs to effectively support technical workforce development initiatives through consultation with the Engineering and Manufacturing and HR functions.
  • Analyse resource demand and competency data to identify technical development needs and support workforce planning.
  • Assist with the design of development pathways for engineering graduates.
  • Assist with the development of dashboards to support management reporting.
  • Providing support to the Engineering Learning Lead.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated Experience in an Engineering field or Demonstrated Experience relevant to the people development process being undertaken, for example Engineering Talent Management or Capability Development.
  • Self-motivated and possessing a proactive approach to progressing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different stakeholders.
  • Ability to undertake data analysis, present data in meaningful ways to enable insight, and develop dashboards and/ or metrics.
  • NV1 Security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
