Job Description

Job Title: Business Delivery Lead – Munitions

Location: Glascoed

Salary: £66,000 depending on skills and experience plus executive package

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the day-to-day business of the delivery stream including collation of review packs, coordination of demand forecasting in BRP, identification and management of Business Risk
  • Overseeing the Project management office and project controls across delivery areas, ensuring effective, challenging performance reviews, while managing and maintaining Delivery Streams’ project management toolsets in collaboration with the Head of IM&T
  • Acting as a single point of contact for functional implementation and/or business improvement activities that are deployed
  • Ensuring that applicable Project Management & Control governance, assurance and processes are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management and acts as a key integrator between Business Delivery Leads and Business Operations at a Line of Business level
  • Accountable for PM functional budget and accurate PM IBP projections
  • Responsible for Business Project Reporting at all levels, BU, Sector and Group and monitoring PM functional cost management
  • Developing and actively managing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with other senior leaders across BAE and the Customer enterprise. Leading the application and consistency of core project management processes and tools across the line of business

Your skills and experiences:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of PM governance and assurance including application of Systems Lifecycle Management Framework
  • Knowledge and in-depth experience of core Project Management capabilities i.e. Planning & Scheduling, Risk & Opportunity Management, Performance Management, Lifecycle Management and Stakeholder Management
  • Recognised as an experienced Project Management practitioner within the local & wider business, strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Proven team management and leadership skills in a fast-paced complex environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly across Functions, Business Streams & Project boundaries, and work effectively across and at all levels in the organisation
  • Demonstrable understanding of Strategic thinking and application
