Salary: 59,491.00 + DOE

Job Description:

You will play a key role in identifying business challenges, analysing operational requirements, and delivering practical solutions through both automated and non-automated process improvements. The role includes undertaking advanced modelling to support major change programmes and help shape the future direction of the organisation. You will influence and improve practices, processes, and standards while driving localised quality improvements across systems and services. Working across the Air sector business unit, you will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and military customers, gaining broad exposure and contributing to meaningful operational and organisational improvements across a complex and safety-critical environment.

Core duties:

  • Investigate business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity, adopting a holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities
  • Contribute to the selection of the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis, engaging and collaborating with operational stakeholders
  • Define and manage scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity
  • Facilitate input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Product Management requirements within the business, relating to IT enabled opportunities, as well as representing the businesses best interests with the customer base and BAE Systems globally

Essential Skills:

  • British Computer Society Diploma in Business Analysis
  • A proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of business process modelling and utilising appropriate requirements management tools
  • Requirements definition and management experience
  • Experience of mentoring, coaching and managing a small team

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and supporting a diverse portfolio of projects within our Architecture Practice, with a focus on the Air sector.
