Job Description
Job Title: Asset & Inventory Coordinator
Location: Portsdown Technology Park, Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth.
Salary: Up to £43,500 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Continually audit the Government Furnished Assets (GFA) inventory to ensure the safe custody of the equipment, systems and sub systems to ensure the toolset data is accurate, up to date, relevant and complete whilst ensuring all security aspects are defined, considered and adhered to
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing equipment is recorded and categorised, with the required documentation set produced within asset management tools, in accordance with the defined process
- Collation and verification of asset management data to facilitate the mandatory Public Stores Account (PSA) reporting to the MOD
- Ensure continued improvement; review, analyse and evaluate the associated asset management process documentation to confirm compliance to MOD rules and company policy
- Organise & undertake hardware relocations (server racks/Combat System equipment etc) and material handling across the facility along with dismantling redundant hardware in preparation for disposal or destruction IAW security policy
- Support safe systems of work and permit procedures with Authorised Persons (AP), provide first-line response to stakeholder requests and defects, manage specialist contractors for maintenance and installation of combat systems and facility services, and conduct statutory testing of life safety and auxiliary systems to ensure continuous availability of the test and integration environment for the NCSISS programme
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience in asset and inventory management and logistics
- An understanding of facilities management
- Experience with formal reporting of inventories and previous use of inventory management tools
- GCSE’s including English and Maths, & A levels or equivalent
Desirable
- Ability to converse and communicate at all levels of wider BAE team
- Fully computer literate with the ability to use bespoke software tools
- Operation and maintenance of a public stores account
MISC FM (Facilities Management) Team:
The MISC located on Portsdown Hill, is a specialist facility providing vital support for Royal Navy warships whilst researching future Combat Systems and Technologies.
