Job Description

This is a newly created role, merging the Cash and Treasury teams to form a single Finance Manager – Cash and Treasury Operations position. You’ll lead a team responsible for cash reconciliation activities and treasury management. You’ll also be the key liaison with fintech teams for new business projects, ensuring robust user acceptance testing and seamless integration of new revenue and cash feeds.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, process automation, and control enhancements, while supporting ASOS’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Details

  • Provide leadership to one Senior Financial Accountant and two Financial Accountants in the Cash team, and to the Senior Treasury Analyst.
  • Own and manage the cash reconciliation process, ensuring robust controls and efficient processing. This includes overseeing cash reconciliations and process improvements, streamlining cashbook processes and automating feeds between the general ledger and treasury management system (TMS).
  • Liaise with fintech teams in relation to new projects, owning user acceptance testing to ensure successful integration of new feeds.
  • Deliver an enhanced control environment, working with central controls and fintech to devise automated solutions and testing procedures.
  • Oversee operational Treasury activity through the Senior Treasury Analyst, including daily cash and liquidity management, risk exposure hedging and mandate management.
  • Manage month-end, half-year and full-year reporting requirements to senior management and external auditors.
  • Support the Senior Treasury Manager to deliver prudent daily cash management, foreign exchange hedging, payments and reporting.
  • Drive operational performance and enhancements to policies, procedures, reporting, and systems.
  • Maintain and enhance treasury management systems, banking and trading portals.
  • Build relationships across departments and with internal and external partners.
  • Embed a process excellence and KPI culture, driving improved efficiencies across manual processes.
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That’s why our approach to working together includes spending at least 3 days a week in the office. It’s a rhythm that speeds up decision-making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.
