Job Description

THE ROLE

We are looking for an organised and proactive Sustainable Materials Partner to provide short-term delivery support to the Sustainable Product Team. This role will help accelerate priority supplier, data and certification activities through hands-on coordination, accurate record keeping and timely follow-up.

The role is a three-month temporary contract reporting to the Senior Sustainability Partner. It will focus on completing defined implementation activities that contribute to Sustainable Materials transformation and assessment of sustainable materials data and certifications across ASOS supply chain.

What you’ll be doing…

Sustainable Materials Transformation Support

  • Support the enrolment of priority fabric and garment suppliers into the sustainable materials transition programme.
  • Coordinate supplier readiness assessments, issue information requests and track responses, actions and completion status.
  • Arrange supplier meetings and training, prepare materials, capture actions and follow up to agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain progress trackers and escalate delivery risks, missing information and overdue actions to relevant stakeholders.

Materials Data & Certification

  • Assess sustainable materials and certification data across polyester, cotton and MMCF against agreed requirements.
  • Check certification scope, validity and supporting documentation, recording gaps and coordinating follow-up with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Complete data cleansing, validation and reconciliation to improve accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Prepare regular updates, highlighting completion against scope, outstanding gaps, blockers and required decisions.

Qualifications

Who we'd like to meet...

  • 3+ years’ experience in sustainability, responsible sourcing, materials, supply-chain or certification projects within fashion, apparel or retail.
  • Good understanding of sustainable fibres, chain-of-custody standards or fashion supply-chain tiers.
  • Strong organisational and project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage trackers, deadlines and a high volume of supplier follow-up.
  • Confident working with supplier, material and certification data, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel or similar tools.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence engaging with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, identify issues early and deliver accurate outputs at pace within a short-term assignment.
