Job Description

THE ROLE

As one of the Model Bookers you will be at the forefront of the Model Team working closely with the Seniors, Team Leaders, Leads and Management at ASOS Studios. With an ASOS casting eye you’ll be constantly searching for the next generation of ASOS faces, reacting to new briefs and both building and nurturing agency relationships. You will work with the team to supply a continuous stream of exciting talent to be one step ahead of the competition and deliver the best e-commerce assets in the industry for our 20 something customer. The role requires an unflappable, driven and hardworking individual with a passion for the brand/ You have the ability to successfully be a part of and support a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset. It is vital that you are passionate about models and fashion- you have an established knowledge of the industry and current social trends and how they relate to the ASOS customer.

Reporting directly into the Senior Model Booker, you will contribute to the day-to-day running of the Model team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, commercially successful shoots across ASOS.

• Work alongside the Model team to source, cast and book talent across ASOS shoots, including ecomm, marketing, location, social, testing and creative projects, problem-solving where needed to support studio targets.
• Develop a strong understanding of ASOS’s model families and evolving aesthetic across womenswear and menswear, using this to make confident and considered casting decisions.
• Contribute to the evolving ASOS talent brief, ensuring our casting reflects our diverse customer while continuing to push the creative and aspirational direction of the brand.
• Take ownership of the models you book, working closely with Studio teams to maximise their potential and maintain consistent quality across imagery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and international model agencies, protecting ASOS’s reputation and ensuring suppliers operate in line with our standards.
• Secure key talent as regular ASOS models, working with agencies to maintain availability across multiple platforms and shoot requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of Model team budgets, rates and cost structures, building confidence in agency negotiation.
• Use model analysis, performance data and creative judgement to make informed casting decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with the wider Studio team to deliver against budget, cost per product, creative quality and volume KPIs.
• Maintain strong awareness of the wider market, competitors and emerging talent trends to identify opportunities and keep ASOS casting relevant and forward-thinking.
• Embrace the adoption of AI and new technology within Model Booking and Studio workflows, helping test new opportunities, streamline existing processes and identify more efficient ways of working while maintaining our creative and quality standards.
• Support the rollout and testing of new departmental technology, software and tools, providing constructive feedback to help improve how the team works.
• Support Seniors and Leads with the training and development of new team members while continuing to develop your own leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

Who we'd like to meet...

• Previous model booking experience with existing agency relationships
• A good understanding of shoot production in a commercial environment
• A passion for models and knowledge of models
• A methodical, accurate and extremely organised approach with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and think on their feet.
• Assertive and forward thinking.
• A 'can do' attitude and high level of efficiency
• An 'unflappable' nature who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Outstanding negotiation skills and ability to work confidently with contracts, usages and block bookings.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm, and a real team player
• Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, In Design and in the general day to day running of a PC and/or MAC
