Job Description

APM Terminals

Appetizer

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey.

What We Can Offer

At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

Additional Highlights

  • Support innovation and structured problem‑solving through Lean and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Benefit from an environment that respects work‑life balance through clear priorities, disciplined execution, and aligned ways of working.
  • Access continuous development opportunities in operational technology, leadership through influence, and cross‑functional project delivery.
  • Contribute to technical and operational improvements that shape the future of our terminal systems landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive standardization of OT systems, processes, and ways of working across Operations, Reliability, and QA pillars, ensuring alignment and consistency.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks for architecture, integration, and change management to reduce fragmentation and improve cross‑team coordination.
  • Lead cross‑functional OT initiatives and programs by defining roadmaps, managing risks, and ensuring disciplined execution across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Introduce and govern daily operational, performance, and resilience metrics to strengthen visibility into system behavior and support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Contribute to vendor management by supporting solution evaluation, monitoring delivery quality, and ensuring alignment with TM2 standards and expectations.
  • Provide high‑level technical oversight by guiding architectural decisions, supporting major system changes, and facilitating resolution of complex cross‑system issues.
  • Strengthen reliability and scalability of key OT platforms through structured execution, performance tracking, and proactive risk mitigation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Automation, Operational Technology, or platform/integration environments, ideally within complex industrial or terminal settings.
  • Strong program or project management capabilities, with experience leading large cross‑functional initiatives or multi‑system technical programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, standardize, and implement governance structures in environments with multiple systems, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and metric‑driven approach, with the ability to create visibility through dashboards, structured metrics, and data‑based improvement actions.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, bringing structure, clarity, and disciplined execution to diverse teams and operational groups.
