Job Purpose

To support third‑party Facilities Management (FM) contractors in delivering maintenance services across APM Terminals Apapa. The role ensures that all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with approved standards, procedures, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate third‑party FM contractors during maintenance activities.
  • Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with safety rules, permits, and approved scopes.
  • Assist with the execution and close‑out of maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping before, during, and after maintenance works.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and enforce HSE requirements at all work sites.
  • Report defects, unsafe conditions, and non‑conformances to the Supervisor.
  • Act as a liaison between contractors and internal stakeholders.

We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement — naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.

Minimum Qualifications

  • ND or HND in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Technology, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance is an added advantage.

Required / Preferred Certifications

  • HSE Level 1–3 (minimum Level 1).
  • Basic First Aid and Fire Fighting.
  • Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) or Contractor Safety Training (advantage).
  • Facilities Management or Electrical Safety training (advantage).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance and building services.
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors and follow procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills; CMMS experience is an advantage
