Job Description

APM Terminals

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be apart of our journey.

What We Can Offer

At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

  • Hands‑on exposure to container‑handling and mobile crane equipment
  • On‑the‑job learning in a safety‑focused, process‑driven environment
  • Opportunities to strengthen electrical, PLC, and basic hydraulic skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault‑finding on RTGs, MHCs, spreaders, and related equipment
  • Diagnose breakdowns and perform corrective repairs to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance in line with OEM standards and safety regulations
  • Carry out repairs on defects raised in examiner defect lists
  • Complete work orders, confirmation slips, and maintenance records accurately
  • Follow HSSE rules, safe working procedures, and housekeeping standards
  • Work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requirements

What We Are Looking For:

  • Continuous improvement mindset: curiosity about equipment reliability and commitment to safe, quality workmanship
  • ND, HND, BSc, or BTech in an engineering discipline
  • 3–5 years’ experience as an electrician in ports, mines, steel, production, or manufacturing environments
  • Experience working on RTGs, MHCs, spreaders, or heavy‑duty equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs, and hydraulic systems
  • Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency repairs
