Job Description

APM Terminals

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey.

What We Can Offer

At APM Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement means every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers by continuously refining how we work. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

  • Work on a globally deployed data product that supports operational performance and decision making across APM Terminals’ network.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, data, and operational stakeholders in an international environment.
  • Contribute to the evolution of data, analytics, and emerging AI-driven capabilities that create measurable business value.
  • Develop your product ownership and data product expertise through continuous learning and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned data products.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, user needs, and technical requirements.
  • Translate business objectives into product capabilities, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
  • Partner with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, BI Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Drive data quality, governance, security, and compliance requirements across data products.
  • Monitor adoption, product performance, and business outcomes, driving continuous improvement through user feedback and insights.
  • Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, communicating progress, risks, priorities, and value realization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
  • Leadership expectation: We are looking for people who consistently put customers first, lead by example with respect for people, deliver results with integrity, and drive continuous improvement by solving problems at the root, developing people, and raising standards every day.
  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Owner or Product Manager experience, with proven backlog management and prioritization capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, analytics solutions, and modern data platforms.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, managing stakeholders, and delivering data-driven products and services.
  • Ability to write epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success metrics.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • Exposure to Lean methodologies, terminal operations, TOS platforms, or operational KPI management is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver product outcomes. This role will support the continued evolution and adoption of strategic data products across APM Terminals’ global network.
