Job Description
APM Terminals
At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey.
At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.
- Innovation: Drives digital operations projects end‑to‑end, supporting discovery, mapping current processes, and enabling data‑driven decisions through vendor comparisons and capability assessments.
- Work‑life balance: Facilitates clear communication and requirement traceability, reducing rework and enabling smoother collaboration between business and development teams.
- Professional development: Gains hands‑on experience with agile methodologies, business case preparation, UAT coordination, and OKR tracking—building strong analytical, technical, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Continuous improvement: Synthesizes user feedback and operational insights to refine backlogs and support the evolution of digital products and standardized capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive Digital Operations and terminal‑related project activities across discovery, documentation, and process mapping.
- Gather vendor data, conduct functional comparisons, and support build‑vs‑buy evaluations for senior decision‑making.
- Maintain and track the product backlog by logging requests, categorizing features, and monitoring lifecycle status and usage insights.
- Engage stakeholders through meetings, requirement gathering, documentation, and follow‑ups to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Collect and synthesize user feedback through interviews, surveys, and usability sessions to support backlog refinement and roadmapping.
- Support UAT and quality assurance by preparing test cases, coordinating tests, tracking defects, and validating requirement alignment.
- Monitor OKRs and performance indicators by maintaining dashboards, reporting progress, and flagging risks or anomalies.
What we are looking for:
- Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day
- Bachelor degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in terminal operations, with solid operational understanding.
- Proficient in Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and capable of navigating digital tools efficiently.
- Strong analytical and user‑centered mindset, able to convert operational needs into clear requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Confident communicator who simplifies complex concepts for senior audiences and influences decisions without formal authority.
- Team‑oriented, proactive, and detail‑driven, demonstrating curiosity, initiative, and the ability to identify and test new ideas quickly
