Job Description

Water Recycling Regional Network Support Manager

Circa £69,000 – depending on skills and experience + car allowance
Permanent
Full time, 37 hours per week
Regional – based within the East region of the Anglian Water area, covering Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Flexibility to travel across the region is essential.

For a greater career just add water!

Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.

Would you like to be part of a team responsible for the safe and sustainable operation and maintenance of our water recycling assets?

What will you be doing?

We are recruiting for a Regional Network Support Manager who will provide leadership support to both Regional Network Manager, covering sites across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex in ensuring the safe and effective operation of the sewerage network, associated pumping stations and overflows across our region.

This is a highly visible role that requires flexibility to work across multiple locations and operational areas, providing technical expertise and support to both Regional Network Managers and wider teams. You'll be a trusted partner to operational teams, building strong stakeholder relationships across the business, influencing decision-making and helping to drive consistent performance and operational excellence across the region.

You will play an integral role in promoting a high-performance culture where the delivery of excellent customer service and environmental prosperity is central to everything we do. Using your strong technical knowledge and collaborative leadership style, you will support managers in overcoming operational challenges, developing their teams and delivering sustainable business outcomes.

You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring our Network Managers, increasing focus on employee and customer health and safety, and providing tactical support for managing operational incidents, impact planning, operational decision making and investment planning.

You will spend time with our managers and their teams to ensure they have the tools, equipment and training required to effectively manage our assets in line with our regulators’ guidelines. This active management will have a focus on achieving environmental excellence, building resilience, and utilising performance reporting to ensure we are operating as efficiently and effectively as possible whilst maintaining the wellbeing of our teams.

What does it take to be a Regional Network Support Manager?

  • Relevant operational experience within the Water Industry
  • Experience of managing operational incidents in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrable leadership experience within an operational setting
  • Ability to adapt communication style (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Awareness of and application of Health & Safety rules and regulations within an operational environment
  • Experience in making commercial decisions often with conflicting priorities
  • SAP financial competence
  • Ability to think tactically but also strategically to achieve business outcomes
  • Full UK Driving Licence

We invest in our people - as a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

  • Personal private health care
  • Generous double match pension – contribute 7% and Anglian Water will contribute 14%, giving a total contribution of 21%
  • 24-hour Virtual GP service for you and your household
  • 26 days annual leave – rising with length of service and the ability to buy more
  • Life assurance (up to 8 x salary)
  • Personal accident cover (up to 5 x salary)
  • Excellent family friendly policies, such as 26 weeks full pay for maternity / adoption leave, as well as 4 weeks paid paternity / partner leave. Opportunity for shared parental pay
  • Bonus scheme
  • Flexible benefits and working culture to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.

Our culture involves collaborative, innovative and inspiring work, putting people at the heart of our business, and we truly love what we do. We believe that equal opportunities mean inclusion, diversity and fair treatment for all.

If you're a collaborative and inspirational operational leader who enjoys coaching others, building strong relationships and using technical expertise to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
