Peterborough, Hybrid working

Full time, 37 hours a week

Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role offers you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your based location would be in Peterborough with travel throughout the Anglian Water Region.

Work with partners and stakeholders to deliver facilities services that make a real difference.

We’re looking for a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee and enhance the performance of our Facilities Management (FM) contract across operational sites. In this role, you’ll ensure services are delivered in line with agreed key performance indicators, while continuously driving improvements in both service quality and commercial outcomes.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external FM providers, acting as a key link to ensure effective communication, alignment, and high standards of delivery. A critical part of the role will be maintaining robust health and safety practices, ensuring all FM activities meet Anglian Water’s standards and compliance requirements.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll influence performance, build strong relationships, and help shape a safe, efficient, and high-performing facilities environment.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll lead on ensuring high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all facilities management activities, promoting a strong safety culture and working towards a zero-accident environment.

You’ll oversee the performance of Facilities Management contracts across operational sites, monitoring service delivery against KPIs, managing supplier performance, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Acting as a key link between contractors and stakeholders, you’ll resolve service issues, carry out audits, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.

You’ll also play a key role in driving continuous improvement—identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, develop more efficient ways of working, and deliver greater value for money. Working collaboratively with partners, you’ll help shape and implement improvements across the operational estate.

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

  • Personal private health care
  • 26 days annual leave – rising with length of service
  • Flexible working
  • Competitive pension scheme – Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 6%
  • Bonus scheme
  • Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.

What does it take to be a Regional Facilities Manager?

We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong understanding of FM service delivery, ideally within a partnering model. You’ll bring solid health and safety knowledge (with a relevant qualification preferred) and a good understanding of managing soft services.

You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, you’ll be well organised, able to prioritise competing demands, and remain effective under pressure.

You’ll also be a proactive problem-solver, taking ownership of issues and developing practical solutions as challenges arise. Strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office, are important, along with the ability to produce clear and concise written communication.

Above all, you’ll be customer-focused, self-motivated, and flexible in your approach, with a collaborative mindset and a drive to continuously improve service delivery.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to take on a visible, impactful role where you’ll directly influence the performance and safety of facilities services across a diverse operational estate. You’ll have the chance to shape service delivery, drive continuous improvement, and work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to make a real difference.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where your ideas are valued, and you’re empowered to challenge the status quo and introduce new ways of working. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and efficiency, this role offers plenty of scope to develop your skills and grow your career within a supportive organisation.

If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, build strong relationships, and deliver meaningful improvements, this is a great next step.
