TIDE, part of the Anglian Water Group, supports a portfolio of innovative businesses operating in dynamic markets. We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to play a key role in maintaining reliable, high-performing technology across our sites.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day IT operations, leading the help desk function and ensuring our network systems run efficiently and effectively. You’ll be a vital link in keeping the business connected, providing hands-on support and resolving technical issues.

You’ll also manage asset registers and support the testing and rollout of new applications and systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of our IT services.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure and applications, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day technical issues across the business. You’ll manage the IT and application helpdesk, ensuring users receive timely support, issues are resolved or escalated appropriately, and performance is effectively monitored and communicated.

You’ll also play a part in testing and evaluating new systems, software updates, and fixes to ensure quality standards are met. Alongside this, you’ll maintain accurate asset tracking and ensure appropriate stock levels of IT equipment and consumables are in place.

What does it take to be an IT Support Engineer at TIDE?

We’re seeking someone with at least one year’s experience in a similar IT support role, ideally within a helpdesk environment. You’ll have a strong working knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and experience administering Office 365 and Azure services. Familiarity with software testing principles would be an advantage.

You’ll be highly organised, able to manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks using your own initiative. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to explain technical information clearly both over the phone and face-to-face. You’ll also bring excellent problem-solving abilities and be confident producing clear, accurate documentation.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates openly and constructively, and is naturally curious and eager to learn. You’ll be collaborative, willing to share knowledge, and comfortable challenging processes where improvements can be made.

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

  • Private health care for you

  • 25 days annual leave rising with service

  • Competitive pension scheme

  • Flexibility to personalise your benefits package and support your wellbeing

  • Hybrid working

  • Bonus scheme - 10%

  • Plus lots more!

TIDE is part of the Anglian Water Group and comprises of three diverse and interesting brands - each operating in an ever-changing and challenging market. On joining TIDE you’ll enjoy all the benefits of working for the Anglian Water Group. We believe your salary and bonus should be just the beginning of your reward package so there’s nothing basic about the breadth and competitiveness of the benefits we offer.

Why Apply?

This is a great opportunity to build your IT career in a varied, hands-on role where you’ll have real impact from day one. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, systems, and projects, giving you the chance to continuously develop your technical skills and experience.

You’ll be part of a supportive team environment that values collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement, where your ideas are encouraged and your contribution makes a difference. With opportunities to get involved in testing and implementing new systems, you’ll play a key role in shaping and improving IT services across the business.

If you’re looking for a role where you can grow, take ownership, and be part of a forward-thinking organisation, this could be the perfect next step.
