Dive into a world of opportunity, and join our team!

We are looking for an Innovation Integration Lead to join our Research and Innovation team!

This role is responsible for driving the commercialisation and integration of innovation across Anglian Water, ensuring that successful trials are scaled into operational solutions that support our purpose, through enabling changes that deliver efficiency, resilience, and customer value. It also focuses on embedding learnings from innovation projects into future delivery strategies and strengthening internal capabilities for adoption and scaling, supporting our wider Enterprise innovation capability.

This exciting role also represents innovation in strategic forums and supports programme leads in embedding outcomes into delivery plans, supporting the Innovation Integration Manager. Externally, this role leverages partnerships and sector frameworks to bring high-potential solutions into the business, ensuring benefits from industry-wide investments and exploring new models such as corporate venturing and incubators.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities in areas such as bioresources and the circular economy, other new revenue streams and working with internal stakeholders to build robust business cases

  • Align the innovation portfolio with business priorities, enabling knowledge transfer, and challenging processes that hinder integration, to support scale-up of innovations into Business As Usual.

  • Attend academic / industry conferences and workshops, alongside engagement with industry innovation forums such as Spring

  • Translate successful innovation trials into scalable, operational solutions across the business

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and capability building across teams to support innovation adoption

We invest in our people - as a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

  • Personal private health care

  • Generous double match pension – contribute 7% and Anglian Water will contribute 14%, giving a total contribution of 21%

  • 24-hour Virtual GP service for you and your household

  • 26 days annual leave – rising with length of service and the ability to buy more

  • Life assurance (up to 8 x salary)

  • Personal accident cover (up to 5 x salary)

  • Excellent family friendly policies, such as 26 weeks full pay for maternity / adoption leave, as well as 4 weeks paid paternity / partner leave. Opportunity for shared parental pay

  • Bonus scheme

  • Flexible benefits and working culture to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.

What does it take to be successful?

  • Experience in delivering complex and innovative projects/programmes

  • Awareness of digital and emerging technologies

  • Able to build relationships between disparate companies – managing risk / reward

  • Knowledge of establishing and working to governance, assurance, change management and reporting

  • An understanding of the opportunities that innovative solutions and processes can bring to the business

  • A self starter with excellent organisational skills and a genuine enthusiasm for deliberately delivering differently

  • Able to work across teams and get buy-in to changes in processes and practices, requiring excellent communication skills
