Innovation Project Manager (Solutions Team)
Circa £55,000, dependent on skills and experience
Permanent, 37 hours (full time), with flexibility for part time working

We are looking for Innovation Project Managers to join our Research and Innovation (R&I) Solutions team!

This is a specialist role within the R&I team, which is accountable for the development and delivery of innovation initiatives in the R&I programme. You will partner with teams across Anglian Water in the delivery of projects which will enable successful delivery of our business plan, ensuring we have developed new solutions, and aligned to our purpose across horizons up to 25 years ahead.

Key responsibilities

  • Make sure the investments made through the programme are delivered to safety, time, cost, and quality/safety standards

  • Ensure R&I engage staff across the business in the innovation process and support our explorer value

  • Ensure visibility and understanding across the organisation of the R&I team, the partnerships and platforms we hold and how they can facilitate and drive value

  • Make sure our colleagues engage with and gain value from external funding routes and their outputs, such as the Ofwat Innovation Fund

  • Collaborate with leaders across Anglian Water to encourage the delivery of new and innovative solutions through the programme

  • Understand project risks across the programme and escalate potential issues to the innovation management team

  • Develop innovation process and workflows to support the successful delivery of the R&I solutions portfolio, working alongside Research & Insights and Integration teams.

  • Lead on business case development for innovations ready to be integrated into AW

  • Assist in reviewing proposals from suppliers and innovators, identifying innovative technologies or approaches which can be integrated within Anglian Water and where needed provide project support to business sponsors to enable this

What does it take to be successful?

  • Proven experience and knowledge of, or experience in Water and/or Water recycling services

  • Proven project management experience gained in working in complex and high uncertainty projects

  • Project management qualification such as Prince2, Prosci, APM, is not essential, but is desirable

  • Data analysis, development of benefits realisation plan, and business case development experience

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to forge effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent presentation skills for both internal and external events
