2 positions, one Peterborough based and one Dereham based. With travel up to an hour and 30 mins.

Permanent, full time 37 Hours

Our team of Commissioning Engineers ensure that all new assets delivered by the @One Alliance, as part of the Water and Recycling programme areas, are efficiently tested and operated for the first time. Proving reliability and performance prior to hand over to the end user with the correct documentation and training, to enable safe and reliable operation.

We have an exciting development opportunity as an Assistant Commissioning Engineer, for someone looking to progress into a Commissioning Engineer position. The role will offer the chance to assist, train and develop alongside our experienced Commissioning Engineers, through a defined process with salary progression.

The role will assist with:

  • Undertake on site process commissioning in accordance with @one Commissioning and Health and Safety procedures

  • Liaise with other commissioning partners throughout the commissioning phase

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across all areas of the business

  • Estimating commissioning durations

  • Writing commissioning plans and updating as required in close liaison with project teams

What does it take for you to be an Assistant Commissioning Engineer?

We are looking for 2 positions, ideally one person based in Peterborough and one in Dereham, the roles are field based covering up to an hour and 30 minutes from both locations.

You’ll ideally have a HNC or Level 3 (or equivalent) Electrical qualification and related field experience. It would be beneficial if you had any experience or knowledge of the water & water recycling operations / processes.

You’ll work with people from different partner company backgrounds and disciplines, utilising their knowledge and experience. You’ll be comfortable in multitasking with excellent time management skills. You’ll be able to work with a specific focus on multiple deadlines and be able to work in an open and collaborative way. You’ll communicate clearly and concisely and listen to and consider ideas and feedback from others. You’ll also take responsibility for your actions and acknowledge mistakes, own up to them quickly and offer solutions.

If successful in your application, you’ll have a company van, so a full UK driving licence is essential. If you are offered the role, the status of your driving licence may be checked.
