VIE within our department Program Delivery Belgium (d/f/m)


We are seeking a motivated and organized student to support our team Program Delivery Benelux. You will be part of a team of project managers, IT architects and field support engineers. Airbus Public Safety and Security (PSS), an Airbus business unit, offers advanced communication and collaboration solutions to gather, process and deploy intelligence. Its portfolio is tailored to the needs of Public Safety, Defence and Transport, Utility and Industry (TUI). It includes infrastructures, devices, applications and services based on Tetra, Tetrapol and Broadband technologies (either single, hybrid or multi-technology solutions). As the European leader and a key international player, PSS has customers in more than 80 countries and employs around 1,150 people in 17 countries.

Definition VIE
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. Your tasks and responsibilities

Project Management Support:

  • Assist in managing projects with top-down oversight to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and timeline standards.
  • Support the development of comprehensive project plans that align customer requirements with company goals.
  • Coordinate with team members and technical personnel during various project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and assist in preparing detailed scheduled reports on measurable items such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Assist in the preparation of project specifications, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), schedule, resource requirements, cost plan, and risk management.
  • Conduct target/actual comparisons of costs, deadlines, and project progress.

Technical Support:

  • Analyze faults in customer systems.
  • Support in maintaining and controlling the contractually agreed service levels.
  • Provide necessary indications to 3rd level support.
  • Carry out integration tasks of individual hardware and/or software elements with a variety of functions and links.
  • Implement integration tasks in coordination with other teams in a complex system environment.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial & Systems engineering or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of project management principles
  • Basic technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent written and oral English and Dutch Or French is a must, additional languages would be a plus
