Proof of Qualification to Accompany Application (NQF Level 6)
ICT Specialist required who will manage, maintain, and supports the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data systems. Troubleshoot technical issues, implement security measures, and optimize systems for efficiency. Key skills include, but are not limited to, networking, cybersecurity, and system administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Installing, upgrading, and maintaining hardware (servers, PCs, printers) and software, including cloud and network environments.
- Technical Support: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, providing second-line assistance to users.
- System Security & Monitoring: Monitoring system performance, managing backups, and ensuring security compliance (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Network & Data Solutions: Configuring LAN/WAN/VPN, managing database systems, and optimizing network uptime.
- Documentation & Training: Creating technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A National Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent (NQF Level 6+). - Please attach to application
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, routing), server administration, cybersecurity practices, and ITIL/COBIT framework knowledge.
- Experience: Often requires 3-7+ years of experience in technical support, managed service provider (MSP) environments, or specialized ICT roles.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
