Join Materials, Processes & Test Team
- to act in multi-disciplinary projects with different stakeholders
- to have an understanding all Assembly, Metals & Surface Technologies
- to understand manufacturing defects and Concessions processes linked to Materials
- Lead and influence in an international, remote environment
Main Activities:
- The jobholder will act as Technical Consultant to the M&P Team in India
- Contributing to projects & tasks where deeper technical knowledge is requested -
- Challenge project performance
- Boost efficiency and simplification to reduce Lead time & costs
- Push for commonality across projects within his field of competence from a technical
point of view
- Developing M&P competence & collaboration with wider M&P Community
- Support the development of training methodology and material
- Being involved in development and maintenance of job profiles for a related
competence
- Facilitate on-going people development activities (e.g. mentoring I tutoring)
- Being part of Knowledge Management initiatives (e.g. PKCR, ASDM, DAWN)
- Sustain the internal exchange in order to ensure that lessons learnt from previous
programs are transferred to new ones.
- Manage & support to resolve M&P Concessions for support in assessment, assignment, validation and process compliance monitoring.
- Demonstrate Project Management skills on stakeholder coordination, technical discussions/reviews, milestones achievement in line with business / customer needs
- Formalise and evaluate potential improvements, and make proposals to the Domain for improvements.
- Create awareness & provide support on new or updated procedures related to Process requirements to stakeholders.
- Network & liaise with a broad range of sub-domains to resolve queries.
- Contribute to reviews, provide technical support to peers and involved stakeholders.
- Comply with ways of working agreed between European Engineering Entities and the Concessions group within the M&P team in India ensuring effective communication is established and maintained.
- Ensure the appropriate reporting and publishing on his/her activities, with a focus on the process followed, achievements and lessons learned.
- Support digitalization and development of automation tools.
Skills:
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to the technical requirements
- Good understanding of Metallic/Surface Materials & the allied processes like Assembly, Coatings and Corrosion
- Very good analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills
- Basic knowledge of automation and data analytics.
Qualification:
B.E / M.E / M. Tech / Mechanical/Aeronautical/Metallurgy
Experience:
Preferably 15+ years of relevant domain (Materials & Processes) experience.
Soft skills:
- The job requires ability to communicate in a multicultural environment.
- The job requires travels to Europe, as necessary for the efficiency of the project.
- To understand Airbus culture, procedures and customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution. Commitment to continuous learning.
- Good verbal & written English skills are a must.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in holding conversations with customers and customer-centric outreach
