System Engineer- Maintenance (New FDIMU)

Job Description

  • Team Description

The Maintenance Team at Airbus India utilizes primarily System Engineering competencies. This team is responsible for defining the maintenance systems of tomorrow for the aircraft, designing the BITE specifications for the systems, providing the customization mods needed for the aircraft, and developing diagnostic and prognostic solutions to improve the maturity of systems. We are a team strongly invested in R&T initiatives that are dedicated to supporting future aircraft maintenance needs. This team is part of Advanced Engineering and Simulation Studies, a department that works on providing simulation means for most aircraft systems and industrial needs through the application of systems engineering, MBSE, certification abilities, etc.

  • Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a System Engineer who is self-motivated and driven to work on new Flight Data Interface Management Unit being responsible for:

  • Understanding of Onboard Aircraft maintenance systems
  • Proficiency in quickly grasping the technical details of different aircraft systems
  • Working with a transnational team to quickly understand the different Aircraft system maintenance requirements and the airlines requirement to provide customized Field Loadable Software loads
  • Connecting with different stakeholders - lab test team, design office etc.
  • Providing project updates on a consistent basis to the various stakeholders involved
  • Required experience & Skills
    • B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. in aerospace or computer or IT engineering
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Aerospace industry
    • A/C communication protocols like ARINC 429, AFDX etc.
    • Working experience on any Aircraft systems - preferably maintenance systems like Aircraft Condition Monitoring Systems, Central Maintenance Systems.
    • Good Awareness of system engineering concepts
    • Experienced with at least one of the simulation modeling & related tools - preferably Matlab, Simulink and programming language C.
    • Experience one of the scripting languages (Python, Java, Javascript etc)
    • Business Proficiency in English
  • Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in quickly grasping the technical details of different aircraft systems.
  • Good communicator so as to represent Airbus India as part of the project
  • Strong team player motivated to collaborate and find synergies
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively
