About us:

Our Supply Management team is a dedicated group of 20 professionals, central to the success of our space-bound missions. Operating from our two key UK sites in Portsmouth and Stevenage, we are responsible for the expert procurement and meticulous incoming inspection of all mission-critical equipment.

As a key member of our Operations sub-team, you will join a dynamic and challenging environment where every day brings new opportunities for growth. What you will be doing:

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Operational management of a procurement team;
  
• People Management (indirectly);
  
• Problem-solving within an engineering and supply chain environment;
  
• Reporting practices for internal customers;
  
• Technical knowledge of various commodities integrated into satellites;
  
• Process optimisation within the supply chain;
  
• Strategic thinking and its application within Supply Chain;
  
• Generation and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  
• Risk and non-conformance management.
  

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Studying towards or holding a degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Management/Operations, or a related field;
  
• A strong awareness of operational and industrial environments;
  
• Knowledge of process improvement and LEAN methodologies;
  
• Excellent practical problem-solving skills;
  
• Meticulous attention to detail;
  
• Effective stakeholder management abilities.
  
  

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
