Job Description:

The Logistics / Supply Chain leader is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of parts and materials required for the final assembly line of helicopters. The role involves proactive management of the supply chain to prevent shortages, monitor part flows, and mitigate any potential delays or issues that could impact production. The coordinator will interface with production, work preparation teams, and operational procurement to ensure the efficient and seamless delivery of parts to the assembly station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts Availability Management:
    • Ensure the continuous availability of parts required at the final assembly station, preventing potential delays or shortages.
    • Monitor and prioritize missing parts, ensuring they are addressed promptly to minimize production disruptions.
    • Collaborate with the foreman on the assembly line and work preparation teams to identify and resolve any parts availability issues.
  • Part Flow Monitoring:
    • Track the flow of parts to the assembly line and anticipate potential issues, including errors, losses, or damaged parts.
    • Identify, monitor, and address any aleas (delays, issues, or disruptions) in the parts supply chain.
    • Report on missing or delayed parts and provide alternate solutions to avoid delays in the assembly process.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Act as the primary liaison between production, the platform, and the Operational Procurement Officer.
    • Communicate critical missing part requirements to the Operational Procurement team and ensure timely procurement actions are taken.
    • Maintain close communication with work preparation teams to resolve technical issues that may affect the availability of parts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the aerospace or helicopter industry.
    • Experience with parts management, inventory control, and production coordination is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly address and resolve supply chain issues.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking parts and reporting on missing components.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with logistics management software/systems (e.g., ERP, SAP).
  • Certifications & Training:

    • Ensure effective coordination between various stakeholders, including the foreman, operational procurement, and work preparation teams.
    • Support the overall supply chain strategy to ensure alignment with production schedules and deadlines.

    • Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus (e.g., APICS, CSCP, etc.).
