A vacancy for a “Stress Methods – FEM and Structural Analyst” (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in the Airframe Engineering. The successful applicant will join “TADAP-TL3 – Stress Methods and Optimisation”.

2. Tasks
We are looking for people to strengthen our structural analysis team!
We are part of the Engineering – Airframe Engineering Organisation – and we support the Stress teams in the area of structure analysis, developing and maintaining Finite Element Models and the structure analysis methods and software tools (Stress and Fatigue) in all Aircraft development phases, and the development and maturation of novel structural technologies (R&T) with application to the Airframe Centre of Competence.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be airframe development, including structure analysis and support to the Stress and Fatigue assessment and structure sizing. This comprises following non-exclusive tasks::
Linear and nonlinear structure analysis with the Finite Element Method (FEM)
Structure Strength and Damage Tolerance analysis and assessment
Structure Stability analysis and assessment
Structure integrity assessment
Multidisciplinary structure analysis and optimisation
3. Qualification
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Completed studies in Structural engineering / Structural Mechanics
Experience in conducting structure analysis with the finite element method in Nastran
Experience in the structure assessment (Stability, Stress, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance)
Negotiation Level of Spanish
Advanced Level in English
Proactive and positive teamwork attitude
Experience in FEM analysis with Abaqus and Hyperworks tools is a plus
Programming skills also valuated: FORTRAN2003+, Python, C/C#/C++, Visual Basic…
