Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

ACCOUNTABILITY

• Responsible for providing manufacturing expertise and capability to support Airbus Plants and Asian Pacific Suppliers especially Aerostructure Suppliers based in South Korea.
  
• The jobholder‘s special focus is to provide technical coaching as well as sharing Manufacturing Engineering knowledge to Asia Pacific team/suppliers.
  
• The jobholder will be responsible for the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) at supplier site and accountable for all Manufacturing Engineering deliverables such as Advanced Product Quality Planning Key Business Deliverables (APQP-KBDs), Specific tooling development, Industrial planning, ME improvement project at Suppliers.
  
• The jobholder will represent Airbus for all Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial topics and will be in charge of the supplier’s Industrial development.
  

Key Deliverables

• Delivery of all Manufacturing Engineering deliverables applicable for robust industrialization- on time, and on quality.
  
• Proactive management of industrial risks / opportunities. Appropriate and timely escalation of issue and recommended solutions.
  
• Clear and concise communication, reporting to and management of stakeholders and Multi-functional team including Programs, Supply chain and Quality, Procurement commercial).
  
• Responsible of Industrialization planning adherence including APQP ME deliverables and Tooling.
  
• Manage Industrial development plan of the supplier.
  
• Perform Manufacturing and inspection Tooling status check.
  
• Demonstrated behaviors which are consistent with the “current” Airbus values at all times.
  

This role will involve frequent travel for business.

QUALIFICATION

• EDUCATION: with University Engineering Degree or at Master Degree level
  
• EXPERIENCE: 10 year experience in Manufacturing Engineering domain.
  
• CERTIFICATION: In Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  
• LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking.
  
• KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: Capability in Manufacturing Processes - both metallic & composite manufacturing / Experience in quality tools, problem solving and process optimization / Mandatory technical knowledge of Aero structures manufacturing (Industrialization, manufacturing and integration in A/C)..
  
• ABILITIES: people management, ability to work in a multi-functional and multicultural environment, Technical Coaching Skills, communication
  
• DRIVER / VALUES: Trust, team work
