Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Legal Counsel Business Law (f/m) to join the Legal Department of Airbus Public Safety and Security (PSS) based in Elancourt, France.

You will be part of an international legal team of around ten people. As part of this team, you will promote, secure and defend the legal interests of the PSS business by giving independent professional legal advice and assistance to the business team.

Your challenges:

  • Proactively contribute to the risk mitigation by alerting on potential major risks and elaborating alternative proposals
  • Provide legal support on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, analysing legal validity of claims from and against partners, customers or suppliers, advising on regulatory aspects like public procurement laws, anti-trust regulations, etc... .
  • Prepare legal and compliance parts of proposal approval in the frame of the bid process
  • Manage and coordinate the use of external law firms
  • Manage and protect Intellectual Property Rights (patents, design, branding ...)
  • Manage pre-litigation and litigation files
  • Organize legal trainings
  • Contribute to the development/transformation of the Legal Department, legal processes
  • Prepare and updates legal documentations, contacts templates
  • Ensure that all legal and compliance processes/procedures are adhered to


Your Profile:

  • French legal Counsel / qualified lawyer
  • Minimum of 5 years past qualification experience in Business law, gained either from an international law firm or a multinational company
  • Prior successfull experience handling contract matters
  • A background in telecommunications, mobile phone services and software would be strongly appreciated (MNO/SMVNO, SaaS and license management)
  • Language: fluency in French and negotiation level in English


This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
