About Position:

Are you passionate about IT & its application to Engineering & PLM, experienced in software development techniques and convinced by the business added value of the digitalization of Engineering & PLM Domain functions and work for PLM Physical Product PSL - Products and Service Lines

This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of digital business services and platforms managed under Airbus PLM Physical Product PSL.

Airbus is looking for a Senior Group Manager - PLM Physical Product Group to join the Bangalore, India location.

Senior Group Manager - PLM Physical Product is part of the Digital function and is responsible for the day to day management of the PLM Physical Product team which consists of two products & one sub group , which is providing PLM Physical Product Solutions and Services . Success of this position will require strong international collaboration with global Airbus teams.

The successful candidate shall establish team goals by evaluating, identifying & understanding the business strategy and technical trends as well. He/she shall accomplish the team results/performance by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching and leading the team in the right direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold the full responsibility to lead PLM Physical Product India team, it’s sub group / Product teams in right direction to achieve the success
  • She/He will report operationally to HO Engg&PLM Solutions, functionally to HO PLM for Physical Product PSL
  • He liaises with Ho Products in EU and India to discuss and commit contributions and roles taken by his India teams.
  • He actively participates in all PSL Leadership Team activities - weekly/fortnightly meetings as well as quarterly workshops.
  • He is accountable to develop India teams and their contributions strategically to be in line with PSL and Domain strategies
  • Manage and lead the team on day to day operational basis and drive continuous process improvement
  • Lead the team using a performance management and development process with the right training program
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when it’s required
  • Work with Human Resources Team to interview and recruit right team based on the business need
  • Coach, mentor, provide oversight and direction to the team accordance with the organization's policies and procedures
  • Develop the team to take the delegation and empower them to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
  • Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's goal and objectives

Qualification & Experience:

Graduate/Post Graduate with 15+ years of experience in developing, delivering & managing operations of Engineering & PLM software applications

Expert level:

  • Leadership skills & Project Management
  • Experience in setting-up & managing operations teams (Service Design, Transition, Operation & CSI)
  • Business / affairs Management
  • Ability to engage and motivate people
  • Experience in building new teams, experience in defining the road maps in Engineering & PLM Digital Capabilities domain

Others:

  • Knowledge of Aerospace domain, especially in managing operations of Engineering & PLM digital applications in Products like PDM, TDM, CAD Authoring and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge on landscape of Engineering & PLM applications in Airbus.
  • Knowledge on Agile/ SAFe principle, managing Engineering/PLM applications development and Services teams
  • ITIL, PMP certification is highly desirable
  • Quality management System awareness is desirable
  • Capability to understand and deliver new business and customer requirements in the Digital domain
  • Ability to shift between domains and multi-skills experience is highly desirable.
  • Professional Networking skills
  • Basic French & German knowledge is desirable
  • Willingness to travel for long & short term to Europe
  • Master Degree or certification in topics of the digital domain is desirable
