We are looking for a Group Manager, SAP ERP Platforms to join our location in Bangalore, India. This role is part of the Digital Fucntionas and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the ERP CoE Platforms scope. Success in this position requires strong international collaboration, a deep understanding of modern SAP ecosystems, and a passion for delivery, innovation, and service excellence.
As a Group Manager, you will establish team goals by fully understanding the business strategy and technological trends. You will lead a centralized team driving Enterprise Architecture, IT Simplification, Operational Excellence, and Security. Crucially, this role requires driving the platform strategy and operational health across SAP HANA , SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning)/ SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) .
Primary Responsibilities
- Application Lifecycle Management: Accountable for the application development life cycle from conception, design, industrialization, operations through retirement, including the management of dependencies.
- Project & Service Management: Responsible for centralized teams managing a stream of Projects and Services across ERP systems.
- Platform Accountability: Define standards and take accountability for modern SAP platforms, specifically SAP HANA,SAP BTP, SAP IBP or SAP EWM.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous innovation within the ERP ecosystem, exploring new technological trends, bringing cost-effective solutions, and fostering a culture of creative problem-solving to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Career & Competency Development: Help the team identify their appropriate career path, develop competencies of the team, and actively prepare them for future competencies.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Manage and lead the SAP ERP Platforms team on a day-to-day basis, consciously creating a workplace culture consistent with the organization's values, goals, and objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous process improvement, maintain agreed SLAs, manage escalations actively, and apply lessons learned to ensure service availability and quality.
- Budget & Strategy: Take responsibility for overall budget management, cost estimation, and the definition of chargeback models for respective platform services and projects.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Manage global communications, liaise with senior management, and act as an intercultural bridge between Europe and India to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Technical Direction:
Qualification & Experience
- Education & Tenure: Graduate/Post Graduate with 14 to 16+ years of experience in SAP ERP/Software Development and People Management.
- SAP Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge and proven delivery experience in SAP BTP , SAP IBP or SAP EWM .
- Technical Foundation: Strong understanding of SAP Cloud Development practices, S/4HANA, and modern software engineering principles (build-in-quality, DevOps).
- Methodology: Extensive working experience in Agile/collaborative ways of working and delivering minimum viable products (MVPs) at scale.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in building new teams, delivery management, project management, and resolving complex organizational and technical roadblocks.
- Mindset: Solution-oriented, customer-centric, with a strong passion for technology and modern platform mindset.
- Communication: Exceptional professional networking skills and stakeholder management experience across global, matrixed environments.

- Consistently ensuring the on-time delivery and high quality of platform projects and services.
- Fulfillment of SLAs, service availability, and quick reaction to operational issues.
- Bringing innovative, cost-effective solutions to the ERP CoE.

- Successful bridging between EU and India to ensure seamless strategic and operational collaboration.
- Demonstrated individual and team competency development in SAP BTP, IBP, and EWM.
