As a Harness/Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing Engineer Spacecraft AIT you will be assigned to the Technological Areas group and given assignment to specific set of projects.

The purpose of a Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is to deliver and end-to-end harness manufacturing / integration process, time and cost optimized that meets the requirements of the project and adheres to business standards, practices and procedures.

The ME is an essential role at Project Level participates on the product definition, manufacturing process and integration technologies selection in order to meet time, cost and quality requirements (applying concepts of modularization, standardization, LEAN standards and shared integrated systems, accessibility, viability, eco-efficiency and ergonomics).

Accountabilities

Your main responsibilities will include:
* Concur with Engineering domains during development phase so to ensure Design solution is feasible and fits the industrial system.
* Gain proper awareness and understanding of the whole configured set of Engineering technical information applicable for elaborating the Manufacturing Dossier in the project. (Work instructions, data collection documents, electrical test documents and support,...)
* Analysing and optimizing manufacturing technologies and capabilities available in Space Spain Plant or at extended industrial partners & suppliers.
* Ensure Material & Processes Selection List and Standard Selection List in the Manufacturing Dossier all fit in the execution works allocated in the project
* Define the Manufacturing Bill of Material and make material requirements available to the Supply Chain.
* Support bid phase by providing inputs to Bid Industrial Planning, Costs & Schedules.
* Provide Inputs to Industrial Planning: Build process (precedents, restrictions, areas, etc.) balancing of the line, adjustment of process times and skills and estimated lead times.
* Technically support Production staff during shopfloor execution of breadboards, Qualification and Flight Models. This may include on-site assistance to customer sites or spaceports during launch campaigns or supplier facilities.
* Build process definition for Manufacturing activities in the project, this includes:
• Defining the as planned structure in concurrence with Engineering & Mechanical Design Office.
• Characterize the work sequence and key industrial parameters iaw Airbus OES guidelines (i.e process flow, process time, lead time, critical path, skills mapping, white spaces,...)
• Identify the need and specify requirements for industrial asset (Jigs, Tools, Tooling, Machines,...).
• Integrate the Quality inputs relevant to the Production activities (Control Plan) to ensure conformity of the product
• Consider inputs from PFMEA and Health & safety general regulation as well as local counsel H&S advise.
• Schedule and delivery rates constrains
• Resources and Means optimization
• Economic aspects
* Lead the work preparation activities in the project(s); i.e. release Manufacturing Procedures and incorporate them into comprehensive Work Orders, iaw the build process layout.
* Foster regular feedback loops with the Production & Quality Team
* Provide technical advise in the budget preparation, sometimes involved in CapEx planning to support determination of cost improvement measures
* Developing and deploying capability in case of New Product / Process is introduced. This includes support and influence on qualification campaigns along with Material & Process and Design Dpts.
* Attend to SQCDP Panels daily meetings and shopfloor meetings, schedule review and recovery plans.

* Support AIT activities.

Skills
* Aerospace, Electrical/ Electronical/ System Engineering.
* Minimum knowledge in an Electrical or Electronic discipline (or lower qualification if a high level of relevant experience can be demonstrated in the required disciplines). Manufacturing/ Test processes for the space industry.
* From 3 to 5 years of experience in production field, preferably in Space products related manufacturing or to Manuf.Engineering.
* Understanding of documentation to ensure clear instruction
* Appreciation of manufacturing techniques and standards (ECSS, ESCC, MIL,...) within the aerospace industry.
* Knowledge and experience related to manufacturing activities related to electrical harness products. Nice to have, knowledge related to RF & Antennas products.
* Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
* Good understanding and detailed experience of electrical engineering and systems.
* Nice to have: Knowledge of the following disciplines is valued:
• CATIA Electrical Module,
• Programming (excel VBA, Google App script).
• Use of Windchill, SAP or other ERP systems.
* Able to work offsite for undefined periods at short notice.
* Team working skills.
* Process and Quality driven approach with high attention to detail
* High self-motivation and ability to deal with changing priorities on a multi project basis.
* Good planning skills and process competence.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good time management.

* Work schedule may vary depending on site operational needs which may require extended hours, and flexibility is required.
