Airbus is looking for a Data Engineer to join in Bangalore, India.

One key component of this Digital Transformation is the implementation of solutions to enable the data-value chain in Airbus and its Division and to make the best use of Data in Airbus, whether to optimize our business processes or to create new business values via data monetization.

The data-value chain encompasses solutions to create, capture, connect, ingest, transport, process, expose and visualize data, data coming fro m Airbus, Customers (Airlines), Aircrafts (in-flight data), Suppliers and other Third-party entit ies.

In that context, Data Quality is one of the key objectives in achieving Airbus' goal and is seeking one of the best minds who can take up challenging roles in the Digital Transformation Journey!

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, o r relevant fie ld with 4-5 years of development experience
  
  
• Strong understanding of software development, design concepts and principles
  
• Proven track record of building and maintaining applications at scale for end to end implementation
  
• Strong experience in code repository , lineage and building pipeline on Foundry
  
• Knowledge with Cloud platforms - AWS is required: building and deploying cloud solutions with APIs, Lambdas, knowledge on big data solution on AWS like Glue , RDS etc
  
• Experience of server-side development, database design (RDBMS and NoSQL- Dynamodb)
  
• Experience and knowledge Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools/frameworks: Jenkins, Sonarqube and Github
  
• Awareness on working in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects
  
• Knowledge on any of those products/tools is nice to have: Artifactory, Jira and Confluence
  
• Experience on Terraform or other IAC tools
  
• Good to have knowledge and experience on Docker, Artifactory, VersionOne, Splunk, etc.
  
• Good to have AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification
  
• Strong experience in Unit Testing and test-driven development methods
  
• Advanced level of English
  

3.1 Mandatory skills and experience:

• Core Languages & Frameworks: Python, Spark, SQL, and PySpark.
  
• AWS Cloud Platform: Knowledge of AWS services, including APIs, Lambdas, S3, IAM, and RDS. Experience working in Glue.
  
• Palantir Foundry Data Engineering: Strong experience in building pipelines, code repositories, schedules and data lineage within the Foundry ecosystem.
  
• CI/CD Tools: Management and experience using Jenkins, GitHub, and Sonarqube.
  
• Database Design: Robust experience with database design across both RDBMS and NoSQL (DynamoDB) architectures .
  
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge and application of Terraform.
  
• Testing Methodologies: Strong experience in Unit Testing and test-driven development methods.
  

3.2 Good to have skills and experience:

• Docker, Artifactory, VersionOne, Splunk, Terraform, Github, Jenkins
  
• GCP Cloud

Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development (Foundry): Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Foundry, ensuring robust code repository management and clear data lineage tracking.
  
• Serverless & Database Design: Implement cloud solutions leveraging AWS APIs and Lambdas, and architect robust database structures across both RDBMS and NoSQL (DynamoDB, RDS) platforms.
  
• CI/CD Automation: Develop, update, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (using Jenkins, GitHub, and Sonarqube) to enable fully automated code deployments from Development through to Production.
  
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to provision, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure efficiently.
  
• Automated Testing & Quality: Implement rigorous test-driven development (TDD) methods and test automation, spanning unit testing, functional testing, security testing, and load/performance testing to ensure "first-time-right" data quality.
  
• Agile Collaboration & Mentorship: Actively collaborate within Agile Scrum or Kanban structures, mentoring and enabling other developers while driving organizational agile transformation activities.
  
• Innovative Problem Solving: Challenge client requirements constructively to provide cost-effective, innovative solutions that maximize the business value of digitalization and data monetization.
