Position Title: Business Release Manager - M&P Tools
The job holder is placed under the authority of the Structures - Aerostructures data Management Team in the Airframe Department in Airbus Group India Private Limited.
Job Description:
The Materials & Processes (M&P) function is critical to ensuring the structural integrity, quality, and compliance of aerospace components. The purpose of this role is to provide reliable, authoritative technical solutions to queries raised by internal Airbus customers (Design, Procurement, and Manufacturing) and external Airbus suppliers. All engineering solutions must strictly align with officially approved Airbus specifications and documentation.
- Technical Query Management: Evaluate and resolve M&P-related technical requests and incidents submitted by internal teams and external suppliers.
- Process Deviation & Compliance: Review and manage Airbus Process Instruction Deviations (APID) and Capture of Product and Process Requests (CPPR).
- Workflow Administration: Oversee day-to-day operations and track lifecycles of incoming requests using core Airbus platforms, including MAPIS , ServiceNow , and TechRequest .
- Supplier Support: Act as a technical point of contact for suppliers, ensuring adherence to Airbus quality and manufacturing specifications.
As Business Release Manager for M&P tools (MAPIS, E2E Qualification Tool, NormMaster,etc), you will be joining the emerging Agile SAFe and will be responsible for the entire release of tools and support for aircraft programmes that are in-service, under development and planned for the future. This will involve extensive collaboration with the wider Airbus community.
Main Activities:
• Prepare, Lead and manage Business Releases - Epics/Capability/features to be deployed (VersionOne as a Master)
• Define Business Release /solution roadmap with relevant Epic Owner(s) and Product Manager / Solution manager.
• Validate Business Release roadmap with MCA/Business and Programs (Blue / Orange Plan alignment) including MVP0.
• Attend Pre and Post PI to ensure and follow consistency of Business Release. • Identify interdependencies with other Large Solution impacts (if any) and put regular meetings with other Business release managers to synchronise the Blue / Orange plan and align strategy deployment with regular points/milestones of synchronisation especially if PI is not synchronized.
• Define deployment strategy with relevant stakeholders & build a deployment plan (awareness, training, BOS, methods, UG...etc)
• Active Risks and Opportunity management with Identification of mitigation actions/plan/identifying critical path and fallback scenarios.
• Manage Data Compliance (EE/Export Control/GDPR/IP requirements/data segregation) for M&P solutions
• Lead and manage E2E supplier business deployment for M&P applications (Business Releases)
• Manage awareness & training Material creation and validation
- M&P knowledge on critical business functions, including Incident Management, Technical Requests, Airbus Process Instruction Deviation (APID), Capture of Product and Process Request (CPPR).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the following engineering toolsets
- MAPIS,
- Normmaster,
- ServiceNow,
- APID Tool,
- TechRequest (SAP),
- AIRINA (ImageMaster),
- Airbus World (AirnavX, Mechanical / Repair Drawing, Airbus Spares etc.)
- E2E Qualification Tool,
- GAPS, Material Composition, Part Usage tools etc.
- Product Management Qualification preferred
- Understanding and experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience working on different Project Management methodologies like
- Waterfall/Agile/DevOps preferred
- Waterfall/Agile/DevOps preferred
- Knowledge of PM&T documentations, DE.PA referential (Instructions, Procedures, PSD’s etc.) preferred
Qualification:
B.E / M.E / M. Tech / Mechanical/Aeronautical/Metallurgy
Experience:
Preferably 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
