Context:

Within the scope of the Materials & Processes ( M & P ) engineering for Metallic Technology , Our mission is to deliver metallic technologies from research to in - service and to make innovative materials fly . This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Engineer to join a team of highly motivated colleagues working together in a transnational spirit , without borders . Develop the next generation of metallic materials and manufacturing processes for the future of Airbus .

Details:

Your job is to develop materials and manufacturing processes together with our material suppliers and create the relevant specifications and standards . In this context , you support the definition of Metal Technology strategy , principles and concepts . You ensure the material availability and safety with the technical qualification process and master difficult requirements in a challenging environment .

Job Description

The detailed responsibilities will be :

To develop and harmonize mature and robust materials and process specifications for Metallic Technology

To generate and provide engineering metallic material and process data allowable . You

define , specify and validate manufacturing processes to ensure correct , mature materials and manufacturing

To provide your metal technology expertise towards Programs , CoE , Procurement , Quality , Customer Service and projects ( plateau , Multifunctional Teams ) during aircraft development and service

To evaluate material related deviations from definition documents and support failure analysis for test cell , manufacturing and in service issues

To oversee the complete material value chain from materials origin until recycling

Practice project management by providing weekly / monthly reports , schedule , risk mitigation & monitoring the qualification activities

Actively participate and contribute to clean sky and other environment initiatives driven by Airbus Adhere to Airbus procedures , process , and ways of working and develop self as an M & P Engineer

Skills

Required Technical Expertise :

In - Depth Material Knowledge ( Metallic materials and its implementation as product ) of technical Qualification , material assessment , prepare test plans , analysis of test results

In - depth knowledge on aerospace materials such as Al , Ti and Special steels

Exposure to various statistical analysis and interpretations of test results , failure reports etc.

Exposure to material testing such as mechanical - tensile , fatigue , crack propagation . Knowledge on test

methods and interpretation of test results

Exposure to various manufacturing processes such casting , forging and other advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing is desirable

Overall Knowledge of Airbus Material and products would be an added advantage

Knowledge of International Standards like SAE , ASTM , ISO , BS etc.

Exposure to Materials and Processes used in the aerospace industry

• Technical Documentation ( MS office tools , Project management tools , etc. ) .

•

Strong stakeholder management , liaising with internal and external customers , interactions with test laboratories and research centers

Creation of Technical documentation such as product standards , technical specifications , test plans , test

reports etc.

Simulation skills on manufacturing / assembly / industrial processes and exposure to relevant tools and softwares would be an added advantage

Ability to work in cross - functional teams and collaborate on technical and operational topics

Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and across all departments combined with a

solutions - oriented mindset

A team player and ability to perform in an agile environment

Strong Project Management skills in a multicultural environment

Communication skills with highest level of English fluency ( Oral and written )

Qualification

Masters or Bachelors degree in Materials / Metallurgy / Mechanical
