Job Description:

A great opportunity has been raised within Satair UK (an Airbus Service Company) to develop yourself and your career.

The vacancy is for a Battery Workshop Technician working at the Satair UK facility near London Heathrow airport. The workshop operates on a shift pattern Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Early shift 6am-2pm and late shift 12am -8pm.

The successful applicant will join the maintenance team. Satair UK maintain batteries from all aviation sectors, passenger, cargo, corporate jet, military and helicopters. All battery technologies are also covered: NiCd, Lead acid, lithium.

Technical responsibilities:

  • Maintain batteries in strict accordance with the relative OMM/CMM and standard working procedures
  • Complete and maintain clear neat workshop records
  • Work as part of a team
  • Complete shift responsibilities
  • Identify issues arising from maintenance regime and provide solutions for issue resolution
  • Completion of shift handover
  • Carry out AOG roster duties
  • Scrap batteries and prepare for recycling as required
  • Resolve warranty claims
  • Release EASA/CAA form 1 certificate
  • Assist quality manager in the completion of internal and external audits
  • Carry out other duties as director by manager or shift supervisor
  • Keep working areas neat and tidy


Skills

  • BTEC diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or electromechanical)
  • Experience in working on Aircraft component maintenance ATA C3 C6 C8
